The INSTEON Leak Sensor is designed for use with other INSTEON-controlled devices. Once connected to your INSTEON network, this device can be used to wirelessly detect leaks throughout your home. This sensor can be used to detect water leaking from places like toilets, sinks, dishwashers, refrigerators, and more. A lithium AA battery is included for powering the Leak Sensor and offers up to 10 years of battery life. Installation is designed to be easy - just set it on the floor, no drilling or wiring required.

  • Add the sensor to an INSTEON computer controller such as HouseLinc, and configure the software to email or send text messages upon an alert from the sensor.
  • You can link the sensor manually (or via software, using a macro) to control a whole-house shutoff valve so it can automatically turn off all water to your home. You can even program your INSTEON sensor to communicate with INSTEON-connected lights to be visually alerted to leaks with flashing lights.
  • To add a level of security, the sensor also features a "heartbeat" signal, which is sent daily. This can be used by central controllers and/or cloud services to notify you that the sensor is still functioning, or, in the absence of the signal, that there is a problem.
  • The sensor features an expandable design, so you can add multiple sensors to your INSTEON network. It's also compatible with other INSTEON devices, like the door and window sensors.
